Volunteers Needed!

Your gift of time is critical to our success and always appreciated!  If you are interested in any of the volunteer opportunities below, simply call our office at 781-860-0200.

  • INSTEP Program Mentor – Our newly expanded Internship for Staff Training, Education & Placement (INSTEP), for our 16-17 year old campers, welcomes outside presenters from the corporate community to share a variety of topics that promote life and leadership skills development. Spend a day at camp and meet a group of incredible teens!
  • Camp Clean-Up Day – Our annual Clean Up Day is always scheduled for mid-May in Poland, ME and marks the official opening of the camp. We encourage all volunteers and friends of Agassiz Village to join us for both skilled and unskilled projects (i.e. carpentry and painting to mulching and cleaning).
  • Special Events - Attend and volunteer at our two signature fundraising events—The Maine Course Chef’s Event and the Golf Outing. Become a committee member, volunteer for the day of the event, donate a raffle item or have your company sponsor the event.
  • Team-Building Activities - Each year we have a variety of projects at the camp, including painting, building renovation, landscaping, gardening, that make great group team-building activities.
  • Board & Committee Members - The Board of Trustees meets 4 times a year with one meeting at the Poland, ME camp location. Each board member joins a committee that meets in the Boston area 4-6 times a year to help with the organization’s governance.

Visit Us!

Visit the camp during the season to meet our kids and to experience what it’s like to be an Agassiz Village camper. We have three formal visitation days on the Saturdays during each session in 2015: July 11, July 25, & August 8. Each coincides with our Camp-wide Carnival event!

Please contact the Lexington office to let us know you are coming.
